Summary

For our secondary school in Berlin Mitte we are looking for a motivated and qualified Teacher in Mathematics for Grades 5 to 12.

Responsibilities

  • Planning of appropriate and competence-oriented lessons for Grades 5 to 12 on the basis of the given curricula
  • Creating a positive, supportive and welcoming learning environment in the classroom
  • Ideally teaching physics or science in addition to mathematics
  • Assessment of students work, including the preparation and correction of deliverables and marking for report cards
  • Examining and holistically preparing students for written and oral German school leaving exams
  • Use of differentiated teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students
  • Organisation, implementation and follow-up of parent-teacher conferences and parent-teacher meetings
  • Enriching teaching with digital media
  • Participation in school events, departmental meetings and team meetings to help continuingly develop the school

Qualifications

  • Qualified secondary school teacher and holder of a Master's degree(in mathematics, education, secondary education and or equivalent) and/or a PGCE/PGDE
  • Ideally, practical teaching experience in mathematics and a second subject (e.g.physics or science)
  • Ideally, practical teaching experience in a secondary school setting
  • An interest in the development and implementation of new pedagogical concepts that focus on the individualized development of students
  • Passionate and motivated to engage with our pedagogical concept
  • Act as a role model for students and enjoy teaching in a secondary setting
