Summary

For our secondary school with a scientific-bilingual focus in Berlin Mitte we are looking for a motivated and qualified Teacher in Chemistry (in part-time or full-time), starting at the beginning of the school year 2025/2026.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and reflecting on motivating and practical lessons in Chemistry, preferably in German as well as in English
  • Development of an optional science profile for students with a special focus on chemistry and interdisciplinary work
  • Enthusiasm for experiments and hands-on learning that motivates and inspires students in the long term
  • Performance assessment of students, incl. creation and correction of performance records and issuing of report marks
  • Preparation and implementation of audits
  • Enrichment of teaching with digital media and enrichment of the specialist team through active participation
  • Promotion of the class community and individual talents as a class teacher or tutor, including accompaniment on excursions and school trips

Qualifications

  • Qualified secondary school teacher and holder of a Master's degree (in Chemistry, Education, Secondary Education and/or equivalent) or a PGCE/PGDE
  • Practical experience as a teacher in the classroom
  • Passion for bilingual teaching and innovative approaches to make learning even more exciting and future-oriented
  • Motivation to strengthen the scientific-bilingual profile of our school - from elective classes to basic and advanced courses
  • Interest in optimally supporting students with modern tools such as AI and digital media
  • Creativity, commitment and the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Enjoy teamwork in an international team and be willing to actively participate in exchange and further development
