Head of Secondary School
Responsibilities
- Educational, organizational, and disciplinary management of the high school, reporting to the overall school management
- Designing and ensuring educational quality in the high school
- Leadership, motivation, and development of the German- and English-speaking secondary team, as well as active participation in personnel recruitment
- Analysis, evaluation, and further development of teaching in accordance with pedagogical findings
- Implementation and evaluation of data- and AI-supported learning assessments
- Close cooperation with the overall school management, the local management team, school committees, supervisory authorities, and extracurricular partners
- Constructive and trusting cooperation with the works council in accordance with the Works Constitution Act (BetrVG)
Qualifications
- A personality characterized by empathy, strong decision-making and motivational skills, and team orientation
- Qualification to teach at secondary schools or a comparable teaching qualification recognized by the Hessian school authority
- Expertise and experience in curriculum development and quality assurance in the field of school development
- Experience in managing a secondary school or as a deputy head teacher
- In-depth knowledge of personnel management and school administration
- Understanding of the legal and organizational framework for alternative schools
- Team-oriented and motivating leadership style
- Openness to innovation and enjoyment of international cooperation
- Very good German (at least C1) and fluent English skills and enthusiasm for bilingual learning
