Responsibilities
- People Leadership: You motivate, supervise and lead a software development team in disciplinary and technical terms. Establish personalized development or improvement plans, hold regular one-on-one meetings with team members, and cultivate a feedback-rich, non-retaliatory environment that encourages open communication.
- Delivery & Quality: Provide technical direction and guidance to the team, ensuring the technical integrity of the product. Ensure the delivery of functional, complete, and high-quality code while aligning development with established technical standards. Additionally, focus on the timely delivery of new features and the maintenance of existing ones, upholding high engineering excellence metrics.
- Management: Collaborate closely with the Product team to drive the implementation of appropriate technological advancements. Clearly communicate technical decisions to relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the board. Oversee the entire feature development process, from initial concept through to successful deployment. Additionally, take ownership of technical incident management, ensuring timely and effective resolution of any issues that arise.
Qualifications
- Several years of software engineering experience coupled with more than 2 years in leadership roles
- Solid technical expertise in designing and developing large-scale, end-to-end software solutions. Preferably in an App environment
- Approach complex issues with an open mindset and a focus on achieving simplicity.
- Passionate about people, offering support and guidance to your engineers while avoiding micromanagement
- Skilled at rapidly establishing relationships with stakeholders and maintaining a solution-focused approach
- Capable of building high-performing, self-sufficient teams that effectively balance speed, quality, and risk
