The UFZ Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to develop cutting-edge bird diversity models and scenarios across Europe. This Master or Bachelor thesis investigates the effect and fate of trace organic contaminants in municipal wastewater on methanogenic archaea. Experiments will be conducted in pure and mixed cultures, analyzing microbial activity, contaminant fate, and methanogen response using proteomics.
